"From the time we put the floor on, it only took 11 days until we got the roof on. Very fast. I am very happy with the package. In fact, my Contractor says it is one of the best he has ever seen. The delivery drivers for your Winton Global Homes trucks are fantastic, real wonderful gentlemen. Our Project Coordinator from Winton, Rob McKenzie helped ensure everything went great, even the building instructions were good." Mike’s advise to folks who are thinking about building: "If you are building out of the way, you would do well to purchase a Winton package deal. Our transportation costs would have doubled. Going with a Winton package saved us money. Be on the ball and get all your paper work done - HPO, Septic, Permit. It helps to have your excavation and foundation done before your package arrives if you have a tight lot. And you might need to put your septic field and tank in after you build if your Winton Global Homes delivery truck will need to drive over that section of your property. Definitely get your Contractor lined up early. I was impressed with the ease of how it went together. I had built 1 home before and done lots and lots of renovations. My Contractor is a very detail oriented and fussy builder. So, I let him run with it. This works well for me. I did a much of the organizing and pitched in lending a hand wherever I could. When you’re building a home, time is money. With Winton Global Homes, there’s no running around to different suppliers trying to find this and that. They offered everything we need to get to lock-up in one neat, easy package, delivered right to our site. We were very pleased with the high quality of the lumber used in out Winton Global Home package. Excellent quality all the way from the floor joists right up to the engineered trusses. WGH staff showed strong knowledge of all their products and this made the process of deciding on what products we wanted for our home much, much easier. Our contractor was easily able to follow the clear instructions provided by WGH and the entire package went together quickly and without much difficulty at all. Rob McKenzie Winton Global Homes Hi Rob, I’ve been drywalling for over 15 years and dealt with a large amount of wood framing, some good, but most of the time there are areas in a home where there are framing issues due to poor wood quality. I have drywalled a few Winton Global homes and it has been nice to see such good strait and square framing. The wood is dry which really helps control screw pops due to normal shrinkage of wood studs. I look forward to working on your products in the future. Don your trucker did a terrific job and really blew us away with how good he was on site. I had had some concerns about the unload site in terms of access. Therefore I had made preparations to have the unload done a third of a mile away from our build site. As an offhanded remark, I asked Don how good he was at backing up the load. He said, “I’ m OK” which in reality meant he was outstanding. Don made the impossible look too easy as he backed up his truck for a ½ mile (much of the distance was uphill) right to the camp site. The unload was extra easy and more efficient as result of Don’s positive attitude and ability. I do not have enough good things to say about our experience with Winton Global Homes.
