Winton Global is located in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Due to the cooler climate, our fibre (primarily White Spruce and Lodgepole Pine) is slow growing. What does this mean to you? There are more annual rings per inch (close grain growth) which makes our lumber more durable. This also produces lumber that is light in colour, has straight grain, takes an excellent finish, works well under tools and has good nailing properties.
Annually, Winton Global produces approximately 200 million foot board measure of kiln dried dimensional lumber. Our #2 and better dimensional wood products are wax coated to prevent outside moisture from penetrating the lumber thereby inhibiting the growth of mold.
The grade of all of our lumber products adheres to standards set out in the National Lumber Grades Authority NLGA Standard Rules for Canadian Lumber, which is approved by the Canadian Lumber Standards Accreditation and The American Lumber Standard Board of Review.
Since 1919, the Winton brand name has been synonymous with quality and consistency.
