Build Your Home
Prepare For Your Delivery
It won't be long before your prefabricated home arrives. While you are awaiting your delivery, there are a few things that you should have ready for your Winton Global Home package delivery.
Here is a list of details that you should have in place before your new home is delivered:
Permits
Your building permits should be in place for when you are ready to build. Usually, this coincides with your package delivery.
Road Access
Whenever possible, your home package is delivered on a 53' flat deck. The total length of the truck and trailer is 80', so you will need to be sure that proper access is available to your site. If your site is not accessible to a 53' flat deck trailer, then alternative arrangements need to be made with your Personal Project Coordinator in advance.
Machinery and Manpower
If your builder has not already organized a crew for offloading your home package, or if you are building your own home, you will need to have 4-6 able-bodied people in place to offload and inventory your prefab home. We recommend using a 'zoom boom' forklift or a crane to aid you with the larger pieces of your new home.
Foundation
While you should already have your foundation in place before your new home is delivered, you should also consider having your foundation backfilled. Removing the piles and filling the trench will make your delivery and build go much smoother, easier and safer.
